About Us

Our mission is to help both men and women achieve their fitness goals while empowering them with self-confidence and better body awareness through the use of pole and aerial dance techniques. At NOLA Pole we strive to provide an environment that builds self-confidence, self-empowerment, and bonding through alternative forms of fitness, dance, and performance. We want students from all walks of life to come together to enjoy the sport of pole and aerial fitness in an environment free of judgement and stigma. We hope to unite the pole and aerial community by embracing all forms of technique and style.

All of our instructors are friendly, highly skilled and certified to create the best fitness experience possible. We believe that a sense of community is key and we are committed to provide a safe and supportive environment for our students.

NOLA pole has two beautiful locations in New Orleans and we have over 40 Classes a week to choose from - more than any studio in the area! Our students get a lot out of their memberships; access to all classes and the ability to chose how they like to train - pole and aerials.

Whether you prefer a strict fitness regimen, connecting with your inner-sexy or professional dance training, we have something for everyone and every body type!

Our Story

NOLA Pole was originally known as Awakenings Pole & Aerials and our first location opened in 2017. We decided to simplify the name and fully embrace our love for the New Orleans community and the many kinds of folks who live here.

NOLA Pole is also firmly rooted in the stripper industry...the original creators of pole dance as we know it today. The owner, Jillian, has been a stripper for over 20 years and continues to work within the industry. A huge number of our instructors are either retired strippers or currently still work in the clubs right here in New Orleans. Even our Canal Street location sits right in the part of the city formerly known as "Storyville"...which was once a haven for sex workers and brothels in the late 1800s.
